Professor in Conflict Studies
Saint Paul University, a Catholic, bilingual institution of higher learning federated with the University of Ottawa,
seeks to promote excellence in teaching, research and professional formation at the international, national and
local levels.
The Faculty of Human Sciences is seeking a professor for a one-year replacement position for its Conflict Studies
program.
Required Qualifications:
• Hold a doctorate related to conflict theory, analysis, and/or resolution, in a discipline of the
social sciences and humanities
• Expertise in conflicts at the local, national, or international level, with emphasis on their
ethnic and religious dimensions
• A strong publication record
• Teaching experience.
• Bilingual: able to teach in both official languages, English and French.
Nature of the Position:
• Undergraduate and graduate teaching
• Participation in various Faculty and University committees
Salary:
• Salary and promotion based on experience and the Collective Agreement
• Rank will be determined based on experience, the collective agreement and the policies in
effect.
Starting Date: September 1, 2015
